Unlike normal training, it specifically targets your muscles to simulate the way you would use your body for functions like walking, bending, sitting, and standing.  This type of training focuses on a practical full body workout that prepares your body for different forms of daily activity helping maintain strength and endurance.  Functional exercises incorporate compound (multi-joint) and unilateral movement exercises targeting strength, power, respiratory, flexibility, and mobility.
